Not my line but thought I would try a 'lookup' for you. After locating them on the census I found these 'trees' that would be this family group. Seems no one has connected George Paterson to his parents on these trees but thru the 1870 & 1880 census we know he is the s/o Lieuen M. Rogers.

Lieuen Moss Rogers (that married Snelling) is s/o George Patterson Rogers & Rose Anna Moss.

Also this tree lists a book for a source so I am also sending this one over.

Your Lieuen Rogers is listed on the 1900 TX, Refugio Co census with his parents. The portion of the census page that they are on is very faded and hard to read some sections. Parents listed as G.P. Rogers, R.A. Rogers.
Lieuen is listed as L. M. Rogers but in error as daughter. This section is impossible to read so the extractor must have made a mistake trying to read it. But his other two siblings (per these trees) are also listed here and it sure looks like a match to me.

If you would like the 1870, 1880, 1900 census data just let me know and I will send it over. Lieuen's mother Rose is still alive for the 1920 census.

This should give you a good start,
Marsha
