ARTEMISSA (sp different ways) SNELLING

I just realized that the given name Artemissa or Arimesia, spelled many different ways, is passed down thru my Hugh Snelling (bn 1802) in almost every generation. This may be a clue to our Snelling connection that has been overlooked in the past.

I have even found a male version of this name in early Kentucky records. Could this have been a family surname back somewhere?

We know that John Berryman Snelling (father of above Hugh) is in Harrison County, Indiana when he marries 14 dec 1814 his second wife Hannah Bohall.

On 19 sept 1833 in Decatur Indiana a Arimesia (sp ?) Snelling married Jesse Williams. Could this be a daughter of John Berryman Snelling??

I have never been able to find anyone that has worked up a family group chart for:

John Berryman Snelling md 1st (KY) Delilah Robbins wd Stillwell

OR

John Berryman Snelling md 2nd (IN), Hannah Bohall

Please keep this inmind as you work on this line. 2003 just might be the year we figure out this Snelling line connection.
