I am a descendant of a Hugh Snellings who was born in Granville County, NC about 1755-60 and eventually migrated to Bedford County, TN following his son Lemuel.
According to the "Marriages of Granville County, NC 1746-1867, Hugh Snellings married Ann Snellings, August 30, 1779.Because of the relationship of Hugh Snellings and Ann as recorded in the "Abstracts of Wills and Estates Records of Granville County, NC 1746-1808 by Joseph W. Watson, I am led to believe that Aquilla and Lettice Snellings are the parents of Hugh or Ann.Ann died before Hugh came to TN.Hugh and Ann were the parents of six children; Lemuel, Lucy, Susanna, John, Elizabeth and Nancy.
