He was born in 1723 as indicated by his obituary (from J.Mahar). He was married to Jane Dudley on 1/7/1748 in Orange Co.Virginia. Among proof of his wife was records of a Deed of conveyange-1801,pp.524-525, book Q. which says that Samuel Sneed and his wife Jane and Mary Jeter to Rachel Dudley... Samuel Sneed died 8/10/1806 (Raleigh Register Aug.25, 1806) I am a descendant of Sam's ggrandson, William Morgan Sneed (Richard Sneed's son) and his slave named Nancy, who bore him the child named Walter in 1852.
