Hi Mel & All,
To my utter dismay on Jan. 2, 2002, my computer hard drive fried itself completely. I have 4 file cabinet drawers of research from 3 decades and all the genealogical records I inherited less than two weeks ago. But it's going to take a lot of time for me to get my computer running properly again and download the GEDCOM I had been working on.
Please have patience with me as I get this darned electronic wonder of mine working again to start sorting out all of my records for the Sneeds and many other families.
In the meantime, I'll be happy to do online research for anyone who needs help. I need the following information:
The full name of the Sneed you are seeking.
The dates of birth & death or as close as you can get.
The STATE where born or died.
The COUNTY if you have that information.
Also, you might want to contact DENNIS SNEED who has done a lot of work on the Sneed line. Look for Dennis's posts on this board and others.
And I want to give a word of encouragement to anyone who is looking for missing ancestors. After 33 years of searching, yesterday I found the descendant of a missing ancestor. I spoke to that man on the telephone and it made the 3 decades of researching worth the very long wait!
