Kandace, this is what I found after looking through all of my information on John Ramsey. I can find nothing that indicated that he had a middle name. He married Rachel Sneed on September 19, 1820 in Independence County, Arkansas. The children I have are Thompson b. 11/10/1824, Kizziah b. 12/07/1827, Elizabeth b. 02/27/1829, Jane b. 1832, Charles, b. 1835, Nancy b. 1838, James A. b. 1841, and Henderson Lafayette b. 10/09/1844. All where born in Arkansas.

The information is from Carroll County Families, These Were the First. I have the 1840 Census Record which indicates 1 male 5-10, 1 male 15-20, 1 male 40-50, 1 female under 5, 1 female 5-10, 2 females 10-15, 1 female 20-30. I also have census records from 1850, 1860, and 1870, but by 1850 some of the children have married and moved out.

All of the above children are mentioned in his will dated March 15, 1855.

I believe John Ramsey and John Thomas Ramsey are two separate people. I think they both lived in Arkanasas in the same area at some time. I think Ben Franklin and John Wesley are his children, but Rachel Sneed daughter of William Holden Sneed his not their mother.
