Alexis, I have several Roane Co, TN transcribed documents that mention Allen Sneed, but none of them address his family directly. Archibale Hart and Nancy Hart are mentioned. Also, Allen Sneed served as best man in the wedding of James Brown to Betsey Hacker on February 6, 1918.

This Allen Sneed may be the Allen Sneed from Jasper, Marion Co, TN who applied for a pension under the Tennessee Revolutionary War Pension Act of June 7, 1832, but was denied. This Allen Sneed died in Marion Co, TN in 1844.

I will be glad to provide copies of any of this information you might need.

I am looking for an Allen Sneed, born abt 1801, who married Ann Bomar in Halifax Co, VA in 1825. He is listed in the 1830 Halifax Co Census. In 1830/31 they moved to Tennessee. They are listed in the Maury Co 1840, 1850, and 1860 Censuses. I have been unable to determine who his parents were. Ann Bomar's father was John Bomar. If in your search, you have come across any information on this Allen Sneed, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you.
