LOOKING FOR MORE INFO ON THIS SNEED FAMILY. WE ARE AT A DEAD END. TRYING TO LOCATE ANDERSON (SR) FAMILY. WE WERE TOLD THEY POSSIBLY CAME FROM JOHNSTON NC. WE HAVE HAD NO LUCK WITH OUR RESEARCH. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT!

Anderson Sneed born c. 1785-90. Died 3 March, 1848 in Jefferson County, Fla. Owned land on the Oohoopi bordering a Kennedy (James). (Kennedys are on page 141 of the 1820 census. Married Hetta Sanders (Jim Sneed, Jan. '89 letter).
Received land grant, lottery of 1805 (P38, Records of Wash co.)975.8672 R2d. Had a son, Anderson Sneed who moved to Fla with him and I've got stuff on that family.
Anderson's brother, Charles, (Newsletter) owned land in Wash county (see above). Wife and six kids. Awarded land in Washington co. in 1797--200 acres. Head right for Charles Sneeed in 1794(?), for Dudly Sneed in 1785.
