I have a Sarah McDaniel married to a Nicholas Snead in 1820 in Albemarle County, Virginia. No parents are listed foreither. It is interesting that in 1869 you have a Franklin McDaniel marrying a Gabrilla Snead. I am wondering if perhaps Nicholas ( and that might even be his middle name) could be a brother to your Robert Snead. They would almost be contemporaries allowing about 20 years for each generation. And it is frequent that cousins marry cousins (not usually first cousins, I know). Do you have any information on either the McDaniel line or the Snead line that might tie these together. I have never heard anything about Native American ancestry in the Snead line, but I do know that my grandfather had jet black hair, but blue eyes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.... Ann
