Diana/Dinah Beasley was born in RIchmond Co., NC about 1811. Her father was Daniel Beasley. She was married twice. Both her husbands were Snead. To my knowledge, no one has found the given name of her first husband. She and he had several children including sons, John Adams, George Washington and James E. After his death she married his brother, Absalom Snead in Forsyth Co., GA in 1839. They lived in Fayette Co. GA and had several children including a son Garland and a son William Beasley. They (or Dinah) moved to Cherokee Co., AL (not sure exactly when Absalom died). Later some of the family including Dinah moved back to Fayette Co GA. She died in the 1880s. They are several people on this forum searching this family, particularly trying to find the father of Absalom and a couple of other Snead men that may have been his other brothers. If you have a Snead/Beasley/Georgia connection, then you may well be realated to this family. E-mail me directly and I'll forward some more data.
