Hi
In 1758 my ancestor William Robinson is said to have married a Susanna SHEAD. I did find a marriage record that stated Susanna SHEAD m 1758 Wm Robinson Christ Church Phil. I have had no luck researching the Shead name.
Then yesterday I came upon this while researching a differnt branch of my Robinson line:
Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy: Virginia
Alexandria, Virginia and Washington, D. C.

1832, 1, 2. Purnell W. & Amelia A. Snead, dau Evan. Wm. W. Robinson, Surety. Married by Nicholas H. Cobbs, Jan. 5, 1832

Wm and Susanna (Shead?) Robinson have a son Wm W. Robinson. Could be coincidence, but since I was following another branch of Wm's family to this area, I thought, maybe, Susanna's surname is SNEAD, and whoever transcribed the Christ Church records, got Shead instead of Snead. That this Evan Snead, who is Amelia's father is somehow a relation to my Susanna. What do you think? Too far fetched? If so, perhaps this tiny bit of info can aid you in your search.
Thanks for any help!
