I am descended from Mildred Snead (1746-1836) and Richard Sorrells (1744-1773). Dates of birth and death are approximate. So far as I can tell nothing is known about their parents. They had two sons -- William Alexander Sorrells who married Dorcas Sanders and Charles Sorrells who married first Elizabeth Jones, second Sarah Rhodes. Both Richard and Mildred were probably from Virginia. Mildred died in Madison or Walton County, GA. William Alexander Sorrells and Dorcas Sanders Sorrells were my ancestors, they had about 12 children; their daughter Sarah who married Whitmill Harrington Adair was my gr-gr-grandmother. Most of this information comes from Thelma Faye Cain Prince in her book, "Our Southern Ancestors." She hosts a website devoted to ADAIR research and related families, don't know the address offhand.
