William Boswell SNEED posted Marriage Bond 23 Nov 1840 Halifax Co VA to marry Delilah A. REDMAN. They listed 1850/1860 in Clarksville, Mecklenburg Co VA. Their descendants in OR claim her to be full blooded Native American. Could her surname be a play on words? Her daughter Frances Elmira Sneed JETER's portrait shows strong NAI features. However, do I now detect a trend to think William Boswell SNEED or his ancestors to be the NAI side of this union? I have never found any info ref. parents or siblings of William or Delilah. They are my 2gr-grandparents via another daughter Virginia Elizabeth SNEED (Henry Fletcher) JETER, both bur. Chase City VA.. Any help?
