My great grandfathers name is George Smythe.
He served in an Ohio Regiment in the Civil War and then imigrated to Stone County Missouri in the 1870's. The family homesteaded and worked a farm there for the next 90 years. His wifes name was Josephine. George was born in 1842. I have no knowledge of the connection with family left in OHIO and have been trying to establish that connection farther into the past.
