Sorry, I do not know the name of Wililam's wife.

My parents came to Australia in 1950.

The William of my immediate interest was born c. 1822, probably in the area of Macosquyin in County Londonderry.

I think he had a son named William, b. c. 1850, but I have no record of this.

I fear that there are many people named William Smyth at about the relevant time and from fairly close proximity to one another.
