What do you want to know? My mother's maiden name is Smotherman and we have lots of Smothermans living in Birch Tree and Mountain View, Missouri. Robert is an old name-he and his family ran the local store and Post Office. There is also a Smotherman/Overcast connection in Haver, Montana. I am pretty sure that Asariah (sp?) is the first of the line to settle in Shannon County from Kentucky and we are all related to him in one way or another. His brother James brought his family at a later date. I would be happy to tell you more about your Ozark connection if you would let me know how you are connected.
