Shirley, I know it is a long shot, but for some reason I am compelled to ask you to help me sort out some history. My grandfather Tom Smithwick b. Milford Tx,1899. He was raised and lived most of his life in Ellis Co. But for some reason he moved his young family to San Saba Co where they lived and worked for a couple of years. Now that I know there were some Smithwicks in that area, I feel there was some kin living there. No other reason seems to be given. It would have been in the early to mid 1920's. Maybe you can shed some light on this theory. The line goes like this starting with my grandfather. Thomas (Tom), his father William Dawson, his grandfather William Willis, His Ggrandfather Edmond, then to Edward, Edward, Hugh Smithwick of VA. I am interested in some of the things that may have been a part of Tom's life and family. Any light you may shed will be appreciated. Carol
