I'm pretty sure my Anna Smithey who married Robert Currens is of this line, also. This group radiates from Mercer (probably Thomas Smithey who is buried in New Providence Presby Cemetery, McAfee, Ky) and seems to have relatives in Anderson and Woodford Counties, Ky. Suddenly all Smithey families seem to disappear as if they left the area and moved westward (at that time it's usually MO, IN, or ILL). I'm hoping to get to Anderson and Woodford Counties (I live about 60 miles away in Louisville) and do more research this summer. Let's keep in touch.
