Can anyone tell me who the parents were of Joel M.(abt 1846), Hardy (abt 1838), B. C. (abt 1841), Martha (abt 1850), J.D.R (abt 1852), & Starling G. (abt 1854) Smitherman were? They are listed living in the h/h of Racheal Ray, Bibb Co. in 1860.
Joel M. Smitherman moved to Texas & married Hettie ? (abt1841) in abt. 1867. They had 6 children, of which 3 lived. These were Abel J.(abt 1870), Jesse J.(abt 1876) & Richard A.(abt 1876) All were born in Texas.
