My great Grandmother, Faribee Franklin, b. 12 June, 1860
in Alabama, married James B. Lee in Chilton Co., Al.
8 Feb., 1880.
I have found a Faribee Franklin on the 1860 Census in
Bibb Co., Alabama.
Bibb County, State of Alabama, Randolph P.O.
Enumerated by W. Shuttlesworth on 30 July, 1860

(assuming do means ditto)
I did not find this family yet in the 1870 census.
However, all I did find on the Bibb Co., Al. 1870 census

I have found on the Bibb Co., Al. USgenweb site the
marriage date of Peter Franklin and Jane Smitherman,
and on the Rootsweb Mail List other info on Jane
Smitherman. Thank you for posting all that info,

Our family history had always been that Faribee Franklin
was an orphan, but I noticed that your Jane Smitherman
lived until 1897, and Peter Franklin lived until 1913.
My question is: Does anyone know what happened to this
family? Am I looking at the wrong family for my Faribee
Franklin? The next trip to my genealogy library, I will
be looking for more information for this family, but
would appreciate any input from anyone. I have just
started working on this line.
