Hi Judy

My great grandfather was Charles Smitherman who was the son of Thomas Smitherman and Mary Onion, I believe. He was born in West Farleigh. Thomas and Mary married on 8 September 1817 in West Farleigh. Charles married Jane Quinn who was born in County Fermanagh in 1843.

They had my great grandmother Alice in 1872 in Tonbridge. Alice married Albert Curtis in 1892 at St Stephen's, Tonbridge and one of their children was my grandmother Theresa Maggie Curtis who married Robert James Russell in Tonbridge in 1934 . . .

Have you been there to West Farleigh? It is a quaint little place over a bridge. My cousin lives in Waterinbury, which is just down the road.

Other children of Thomas & Mary were James, Thomas, Jane and Eliza I believe.

Kind regards - Debbie
