Reuben is not listed in the 1861 Eng census, since he had come to America. 2 testimonies in the Pension File come from persons living on Cherry Tree Ln & Buxton Rd, around corner from Great Moor St, add to the confirmation that this is the correct Smith family in Stockport. This census identifies Reuben and Sarah as son and dau of John & Elizabeth. According to the 1894 account (mentioned above), they were children of James, s/o John & Elizabeth. Henry is not mentioned in this census. Had he died by 1851?
