Seth Smith, widower, Washington County Tenn 1850
I am related to this Seth Smith's daughter Hannah Smith(b.1837) and her husband Robert Whitamore (b.1837).This Seth seems to be born about 1802, and his wife Elizabeth died bet. 1847 and 1850, I am guessing here, possibly from childbirth complications from Worley's birth, age 3 in 1850. I believe Seth Smith (b.1802) was married to Elizabeth Miller (b. 1816).I know from an obituary that Seth's brother was John T. Smith (abt. 1798-1876 Wash. Co. Tn).Seth's occupation was a Saddler in 1850. Seth's birthplace is shown as Tennessee.
My questions have to do with his and John T.'s parentage. Also, there is a historic stone building built in 1798 in Wash. Co. Tn. (the area in which John T. and Seth lived), that is said to have been built by a Seth Smith who was a skilled mason from Lancaster Co. Pa.I would love to know what possible connection there might be.
Does anyone know anything about this family?
Any leads would be fantastic...
Thanks!
