JAMES WILKINS (1724 -1781) was the son of JOHN WILKINS and MARY ___________. He married ARABELLA SMITH, daughter of LUKE SMITH and ARABELLA GROMARRIN. This was her second marriage. The children of JAMES WILKINS and ARABELLA SMITH were as follows:

       CHARLES S. WILKINS
       MARTHA WILKINS
       _________ WILKINS m. JAMES VAUGHAN (1st wife)
       SUKEY (SUSANNAH) WILKINS m. JAMES VAUGHAN (2nd wife)
       MARY WILKINS
       MILLY WILKINS m. _______ NEWTON
       JAMES WILKINS, JR. m. ________ NEWTON

James Vaughan married two daughters of James Wilkins and Arabella Smith. He later died in Oglethorpe County, GA leaving a large family. I descend from James Vaughan by his second wife Susannah Wilkins.
