Hatchell; Wit: John Morris, Sr., John Morris, Jr. and Daniel B. Batten (Bk. 9, p. 53-55). On 2 Mar 1760, Newport Parish Vestry Book, William Hatikel (Hatchell) appears with others among the lines processioned including George Hall, John Marshall, John Battin, Daniel Battin, Eliza Bressie (Bracy), Daniel Herring, John Morris, Joshua Edwards, Robert Edwards, Arthur Turner, Smelly, Norsworthy. No further info on Smelly.
