Thanks for the correction on Sarah E. Smelley Matson's birth date. I believe the 1854 date especially since it is in the Bible. There is no death data for Sarah on her tombstone because the grave of John Matson and Sarah Matson is each marked with a white crosses with the names of John Matson and Sarah Matson, respectively. A third cross is also there and it reads 'Aunt Sarah'. This is Sarah Matson, sister of John Matson who died sometime after 1900 as she signed deeds, etc. in the 1901 time frame. Sarah (the sister) never married.
