edge, john, with his wf. jane and family emigrated from st. andrew's, holborne, in the county of middlesex, england, and settled near nether providence about the year 1685. member of soc. of friends. he died 5, 10, 1711 age about 65. children, sarah married thomas bowter, mary married jame sharpless, abigial married edward woodward, joseph probaby unmarried, john born about the beginning of the 5th month 1685, married 1709 to mary smedley, d/o george and sarah of middletown. he died about 1734, in upper providence and his widow married 9-7-1739, john yarnell and died 1781, jacob born 1690 married sarah jones, d/o rees and hannah jones. she married again 11-10, 1712, caleb cowpland.
