David,

I belive that you may be correct in this. In the 1850 Red River County, Texas Census there is the family of David and Amelia Fullbright. If this is indeed his sister, Amelia's family, he could have gone there to be near her in his later years.

However, you have Amelia's birth at 1801, and according to the Census Record her age is 37, which would put her birth date at about 1813. I'd love to continue this conversation, please feel free to contact me privately.
