Hi. I'd like to find out how we are connected to the Wilkes & Warren Co. Smallwoods. I know that Elbert & Lincoln Counties were once part of the Wilkes County.And McDuffie co. (Thomson)is next to Lincoln and Wilkes co. Also, Warren is next to McDuffie co. I know that Elisha Smallwood died in Wilkes circa 1811 and his wife Tabatha Humphries died there as well. This is my husband's direct line. I also know there use to be a Smallwood Reunion in the Lincolnton, Washington and Thomson, Georgia area, but I've lost that contact. Also - there is a connection somehow to the Martins of Lincoln county. A Smallwood married a Martin, but don't know this connection and would love to.
So if anyone could help connect the current Jack & Russell Smallwoods of Warren/McDuffie county to the Mike Smallwood of Lincolnton, we'd be grateful. Sounds like I'm babbling . . .sorry.
