ALBERT SMALLWOOD and CATHERINE O'CONNER

Hi,
My great great great grandfather was one Albert Smallwood, born on the 7th March 1854 in Sandbach. According to the birth certificate he was the son of Hannah Burrows, but the father's name column is blank. According to the census' his father was one William Smallwood, a fishmonger from Green Street, Sandbach. William and Hannah married in 1854. I was wondering if anyone had heard of Albert, or even better was a decendant! I'm finding him almost impossible to research.
Albert was according to family legend the caretaker at Sandbach School, it's a joke in my family that whilst my mum's working class family cleaned the school, my dad's middle class family attended it. Albert married Catherine O'Conner born 23rd January 1862 in Limerick, she is even harder to trace. They probably married in Ireland.

If this couple rings a bell with anyone it would be great! Catherine died in 1935 and Albert died before that (I dont know the exact date) they had 9 children who lived in Sandbach.

Chris.
