for the families of Lena Hurst and Cynthia Steinheimer,
our Wiliam M. Smallwood and Emely Wilson is our Smallwood family. William M. Smallwood; was born in Mississippi within the Choctaw Indian Tribe area. William M. Smallwood later relocated to Oklahoma.
Cynthia has information from the Oklahoma Historica Society, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; with verbal statements from family decendants...and finally registering our family with the Choctaw Indian Tribes, of Mississippi.
I believe the family in Iowa; Louisa County; William, Lydia, and one other sibling is ours. This WIlliam being the son of Wiliam M. Smallwood. ( IF this is or is not our WIlliam A. Smallwood....I do know Wiliam M. Smallwood; is our family)
It is very easy to confuse persons; with same middle initials.
The family of William M. Smallwood, that is in California and Washington state, I think IS NOT our Choctaw Indian Heritage family.
