Linda,

Krain, also known as Carniola, bacame Slovenia after WWI. Do you have a village where Katarina Kerstein came from? All family history records are cataloged at the LDS Family History Library by village name and religion. If we can come up with a village name, we can look for microfilms of church records. I looked up Weisenfels where Plesin originated, but did not find such a place. The Agnes Kerstein that I found that came through Ellis Island in 1913 is from Wien, and not anywhere near Slovenia.

Joe
