I assume Benedict was actually 32 on arrival in the US as he already had 4 children in Slovenia.
We didn't realise he had been drafted in WW1 so presumably he must have been naturalized as a US citizen at some point. It is an amazing coincidence that he was called up in McKean County as I married his Grand-daughter in UK!

The census in 1920 must have been just before he returned to Yugoslavia as we understand he was in the US for about 7 years - his occupation was also a bit of a surprise as again we understood he was a Water Engineer in Slovenia before he left.
