First there were more Ports of Entry than The Port of NY (Ellis Is was the processing station for NY from 1892-1924).Other Ports were immigrants landed were Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston, Canadian Ports, New Orleans, Galveston.....
But maybe you can give a bit more info, such as their birth years and where they lived in the US.This would be of great help in helping you find their entry into the US.
Also it was more typical that the man emgirated first and then wives and children followed
In re to the name KRAKAR.... it was more likely changed becuase it sounds, in English, more like Krocker.
