Surname KRAKER, KRAKAR

I was going through some of my old genealogy records and just ran across information that my ggrandfather might have been born in Krško. His name was Mathias KRAKER or may have been spelled KRAKAR. He was married to Marija JAKSA from Graber or Mittendorf.
Mathias came to the United States in 1891 or 1892. He left Marija and a daughter Marija behind. They came to the United States in 1897 or so. I have not had any luck in finding any of there names on any passenger list.
I'm wondering if the name spelling is even correct. I do know that Mathias changed his last name to Krocker. I was told this was because he was always called "cracker".
Is there any web sights that I can go to to find any information about this family. I have hit a brick wall and would appreciate any help.

Thanks
Judy
