Hi,
Intihar actually means the inhabitant of the town called Innichen, which lies in the German-speaking South Tyrol in Italy. Centuries ago, a group of people immigrated to the neighbouring country Slovenia, and so they changed the German word Innicher (meaning the inhabitant of Innichen) into a more Slovenian sounding word - Intihar, and used it as their last name. In Slovenia, there are also two other last names that origin from the town Innichen - Intiher and Indihar, meaning the same as Intihar. A slight change occurred due to different dialects in Slovenian language.
