Village of Mihele near Kozina / church and cemetery
Hello form Mississauga, Canada !
In May 1963 I as a young man escaped from Yugoslavia over the border to Italy. I got off the train in Prešnica, Slovenia and walked at night to the top of the hill beside village of Mihele. There in the dark at night I had a nap in front of a small church. I thought I was sleeping in the cemetery in front of the church and was many times telling people about the small church on top of the hill and cemetery in front of it. This year I revisited the area and found the chuch but there is no cemetery. Down below in the village of Micele there is now another church (Sv. Elija) which I did not see in 1963. In front of the church up on top of the hill the ground is straight but a few meters further the ground is lower and it looks like some of ground was removed. I did not talk to anyone there and did not have time to look for anyone to talk to.
Is it possible that there was a cemetery in front of that church but was moved elsewhere??
Was the church down below in village of Mihele built since 1963 ??
If any one knows or if anyone can find out and let me know I would really appriciate.
Thanks,
Milan
