Thank you so much for taking the time to look this up. It has me very excited. We plan to go to Slovakia next summer and now we have one more place to visit. Its amazing that 2 different sides of my family, one my father proudly saying we are Slovak, the other, my mother, proudly saying we are Hungarian. And now it seems they all came from more or less the same area of Slovakia.
We still cannot find where the Dusick's came from. My great, great grandfather came here in 1888 with his wife and 2 year old son. Too early for ellis island records. The only clue is the WWI draft registration card for the grown up toddler. Unfortunately it is hard to read and no such place seems to exist. Since he was a baby when he came to America he probably was just writing what he thought he heard. His name is Stephen Dusick and he puts his place of birth as Eglo Spieke Austria.
Thanks again for your help.
