Anything goes in America as to the spelling of a Slavic surname so no way to tell by SHEPOLA. The answers are in the church they married, if in US, the child's baptismal record, US census. Is the family in 1930 census?
Your ancestor could have come thru Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia or www.castlegarden.org
How are the SHEPOLAs in SSDI related to your ancestor?
