I am looking for information on my paternal grandmother's brothers. They were all from Hethars, today Lipany.
Lajos Miko, born 3 May 1881 - cannot find record of arrival, marriage, census or SSDI. Apparently he was called Louis.
Istvan Miko, born 13 Feb 1885, known as Stefan Miko, Steve Miko. He died alone in a nursing home 19 Jan 1984 in NJ. Have record of arrival, but no info on marriage or children.
There is a Steve Miko from Hethars on a census record, but even though from same village and age is close, it is not him.
Sandor Miko, born 21 Jan 1887, known as Alex. There is record of arrival, but no marriage, census, etc. Old letters say he had a daughter, Margaret.
Sisters Sofie (my grandmother) lived in NJ, Lena and Margaret (both lived in CT).
Their parents were Stephanus Miko (died 1888 Hethars) and Julia Korponay (died 1911 NYC).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
