Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!I've been poking around at the LDS site trying to pull up village names and to my disappointment could not figure out how to retrieve the1869 census for the right town, obviously I wasn't doing something right.
This is a silly question, I'm sure, but I'm still trying to fit in this part of of your response:
"Krsty 1766-1832 Úmrtia 1766-1832 Uzavreté manželstvá 1811-1832, 1766-1791 Birmovaní 1824 - FHL INTL Film [ 1739439 Item 4 ]
Uzavreté manželstvá 1791-1810, 1833-1896 Krsty 1833-1896 Úmrtia 1833-1895 Birmovaní 1893, 1905, 1921, 1927 - FHL INTL Film [ 1739440 Items 1-3 ]"
Are those village names? Or...?
The 1910 map I have poured over (I have been poking around the boards for a time and observed you offering it up) - it is fabulous and is part of what made me aware of how close my ancestors lived to my husband's.
I would not be surprised if there are very few/no Barnas relatives (with the Barnas surname at least) left the area, most of the men left for the USA, and are now spread out from coast to coast.Thank-you so much for all of your help!
