Have you clicked on everyone of the replies, even the one that you did not replied to? Sometimes Genforum does not notifies. Have you followed up on locating the paperwork?
My questions: if she was born in 1925 when did she come to USA?
Did she have social security numbers? http://ssdi.rootsweb.comhttp://ssdi.rootsweb.com Did you request the SS-5Form?
Did she marry in St. Cantius? What was her married name? She would marry a person that spoke the same language.
How can you say that she was born in Czechoslovakia if you do not have proof? You have to have the name of a village on a US piece of paper.

yes I read all replies.
after contacting archival records in cleveland for everything I could think of, I finally got a "declaration of intention" from chicago on my grandfather John Pawlak. so that is what I am now following with its information.
I am waiting to see if there is any more information chicago can find on Helen ( my aunt seriously doubts she applied for citizenship & the 1930 census states she was still an Alien)
I hit the WRONG date on her birth ( wow what a mistake on my part to not reread it!)she was born 4/27/1894 & arrived in NY on 2/25/1914.
I requested information from St. John Cantius, they have not replied yet.
social security came up with nothing.
married name : Pawlak ( yes also spoke Polish)
MY Aunts cousin went TO chechoslovakia 30 yrs ago TO the town that the siblings were born & brought back birth certificates. my Aunt is the only living older relative I have now, & NO ONE knows where the information is anymore. I tried contacting 2nd cousins but they are clueless. ( they say they don't have records...*sigh)
All my Aunt can remeber is the town sounded like "Halloivich"
thank you for trying to help! I can use any suggestions that I might not have tried.
