You have not seen the SS-5Form?Surname CERNAK, PEPICH and SKROVINA can be found in Slovak Republic's phone book.
www.zoznamst.sktype a 0 (zero) in area code to get all the listings for a certain name.
A possibility for your grandmother's maiden name might be PADYCH, PADICH,or PADUCH.Those are the closes to your Padlika.I think.Have you looked at Zsuzsanna PEPICH's manifest? She was from Breznobanya, going to brother-in-law John Kurek, Yonkers, NY.Surname PEPICH, KUREK, SKROVINA and CERNAK list in town of Brezno (Breznobanya). This is really, neither here nor there at this time just thought I look for the surnames in the phone book. Surname PADUCH list in the same area code 48 as above town of Brezno with most listing in Medzibrod.
Was your ancestor naturalized citizen? You might want to check into that, if you have not.His naturalization petition should have a place of birth.
