Thank you very much for your help.I have learned many things from you in the last two days.My great-grandparents did not speak of their lives before they came to America.The history of the country you have supplied me with is all new to me.Also on the Hungary Gen Forum you ask if it was "Dedo" or "Dido" I have seen both those forms of spelling on pictures we have and of course"Ditto".
"Ditto I believe stems from younger members not knowing the correct spelling and hence spelling it the way it sounds in English.My great-grandmother we called "Bubba". I Gather that "Dido" from your post means grandfather. In my family everyone, children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren called them "Bubba" and "Dido".
