FYI, from memory on research, there was a Matthias Slough who was a teamster for a famous (Frank) Hardware type of store in PA, both Lancaster and Philly, in colonial times.

AS I remember, he/sons went to Rowan County. The book was about the impact of Jewish families in Colonial times, and adressed also the Kentucky and Ohio areas of settlement.

My line extends from the Daniel Sloughs of Cabarrus Co, NC.
