James Long Sloss II married Arabella Blood on Nov 8, 1859. She was the daughter of Capt. Sullivan Blood, a direct descendant of Richard Blood, an original settler of Groton, Mass. His father named him for Gen. John Sullivan, while his grandfather, Moses Blood, fought at the Battle of Bunker Hill. James Long Sloss emigrated to Florence Ala in 1830, and I think he is buried there, there is a Sloss in the Coffee cemetery. I have more info about the Slosses and Bloods.
