Hi Lynn,
Actually Mary is the second eldest of seven children of Eliezer Slocum and his wife Elephel Fitzgerald (they have an interesting story). Their children were: Meribeh b 1689, Mary b 1691, Eliazer b 1694 (my line), John b 1697, Benjamin b 1699, Joanna b 1702 and Ebeneezer b 1705. All of these and their progeny can be found in CE Slocum's books which I mentioned before. It has a wealth of information on the family from abt 1600 to 1880. The full title is
"A short history of the Slocums, Slocumbs and Slocombs of America"It is in @ volumes, the second of which is online at http://books.google.com/books?id=DYJRAAAAMAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=Slocum&lr= .I did not foLlow Mary's line downwards as it is a collateral line for me and I haven't had time to follow all the lines downward. I would enjoy seeing how you relate to her and thus to me.
