Eddie,
I only know a little about this Archibald, He was a substitute for an older brother in the Confederate Army, and died of sickness and exposure while stationed at Arkansas Post.
This info is from "House of Sloan - Sloan Family Record" by James Allen Sloan, 1959.
As far as I know, he was never married? Do you know of any descendants? He was the son of Thomas Allen Sloan & Nancy Gillis Hester.I have more info on the family, if interested.
