I was married to Marty (your uncle). You can find information on the Sloan family at my website http://windowsintoourpast.com Look in volume 1 and check for up dates in volume 5.
I had talked with the Sloan family in Kentucky years ago when I was putting together the information. There isn't any 'proof' of the Indian marriage, but at least this will get you back a few generations.
