SLOAN: of Chester Co., PA
Posted by: Barbara Stabley (ID *****6786) Date: May 16, 2008 at 09:33:10
  of 2641

Trying to establish relationship between Robert SLOAN, who operated a tavern in Londonderry Twp. Chester Co., PA in 1768, to George SLOAN (b 1739 IRE), who appears in the 1790 census in Sadsbury Twp. same county with 5 males over 16 and 2 females, to John SLOAN (b before 1775) in Chester Co. whose sons were George (b 1797), Chester Co. and John (b 1800), Lycoming Co., PA.

The George SLOAN (b 1739) may have been married to a KYLE. The 1775 Chester Co. will of William KYLE of West Fallowfield Twp., lists sons John and Joseph KYLE and sons-in-law, Robert ROGERS, George SLOAN and John KIRKPATRICK.

The Lycoming Co. SLOANS were Presbyterians.
